1. Agreement
1.1. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) together with any quotation or invoice provided form the entire agreement between Aqua Force Drainage Services (“we”, “our”, “us”) and the customer (“you”).
1.2. By requesting or accepting our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1.3. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before work begins.
2. Services and Scope
2.1. Aqua Force Drainage Services provides domestic and commercial drainage services including, but not limited to:
• Drain unblocking
• CCTV drain inspections
• High-pressure water jetting
• Drain repairs and replacements
• Maintenance and cleaning contracts
• Soakaway installation and gully cleaning
2.2. We use our own qualified engineers and, where necessary, approved independent contractors.
2.3. Contractors working on our behalf do not have authority to enter into any agreements or obligations on behalf of Aqua Force Drainage Services.
3. Pricing and Quotations
3.1. Residential Properties: All fixed prices listed apply to domestic (residential) properties only.
3.2. Commercial and Industrial Properties: These are charged on a per-client basis due to increased complexity and scale.
3.3. All quotations are valid for 28 days unless otherwise stated and may be varied or withdrawn prior to acceptance.
3.4. Once accepted, any unforeseen issues or changes in scope will be communicated immediately and will require your approval before continuing.
4. Access and Additional Charges
4.1. In rare cases, external access to a drain may require minor invasive work. A surcharge may apply (typically around £15, not exceeding £35). This will only be carried out with your permission.
4.2. Internal access (such as toilet removal) may be required to resolve certain blockages. This work carries a £190 surcharge.
Aqua Force Drainage Services accepts no liability for any cosmetic or structural damage caused during the removal or reinstatement of the toilet. Consent will always be obtained prior to this work.
4.3. Business and factory premises may incur additional costs depending on the size, access, and difficulty of work.
4.4. If safe or clear access to the property or drainage system is not available, or if utilities (water/electricity) are unavailable, we reserve the right to apply reasonable additional charges.
5. No Fix, No Fee Policy
5.1. Our “No Fix, No Fee” policy applies to standard drain unblocking using mechanical or high-pressure water jetting methods.
5.2. This means that if, after a reasonable attempt using standard equipment, we are unable to clear a blockage and no deeper fault or structural issue is present, you will not be charged.
5.3. However, if the cause of the blockage is due to a deeper or underlying issue such as (but not limited to):

Root ingress
-
Collapsed or displaced pipework
-
Limescale or hard deposits
-
Fat, grease, or cement build-up
-
Structural defects or severe scale
-
Deformed, broken, or misaligned drains
-
Foreign objects lodged within the system
then our “No Fix, No Fee” policy does not apply. In these cases, you will be charged for:

The time spent on site attempting to clear the blockage
-
Any jetting, rodding, or investigative work carried out
-
Diagnostic services such as CCTV surveys if conducted
5.4. Where we suspect or confirm such issues, our engineer will explain the situation clearly and provide evidence (e.g. photos or CCTV footage) before proceeding further.
5.5. If we determine the problem lies beyond your property boundary (e.g. within a public or shared sewer), we reserve the right to charge for the investigative or diagnostic work completed to that point.
5.6. If, after subsequent inspection by the relevant utilities company, our diagnosis is proven to be incorrect, you will be entitled to either:

A full refund, or
-
A free return visit to carry out further jetting work.
Proof such as a letter or statement from the utilities provider will be required for any refund request.
5.7. The “No Fix, No Fee” policy is not applicable to:
-
Commercial or industrial sites
-
Pre-planned maintenance visits
-
Blockages caused by misuse or neglect
-
Repeat or reoccurring issues within the same drainage system
6. Guarantees
6.1. We will return free of charge if the same drain becomes blocked again within 14 days of our initial visit.
6.2. After 14 days, any repeat blockage will be treated as a new service call and charged at the standard rate.
6.3. We guarantee all parts and labour for:
• 90 days for domestic customers
• 28 days for commercial customers
6.4. Guarantees exclude faults caused by misuse, neglect, fair wear and tear, or external structural issues.
7. Payment Terms
7.1. All prices exclude VAT unless otherwise stated.
7.2. Domestic Customers: Payment is due immediately upon completion of the work.
7.3. Commercial Customers: Payment is due within 28 days of the invoice date unless a local account has been arranged.
7.4. Late or unpaid invoices may incur:
• An administration fee of £5
• Interest at 3% above the prevailing Bank of England base rate
7.5. Returned cheques or failed payments will incur a £10 administration fee.
8. Working Hours
8.1. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–6pm.
8.2. We also offer a 24/7 emergency call-out service where available.
8.3. Work outside standard hours may attract an additional charge, which will be agreed in advance.
9. Liability and Damage
9.1. We take every reasonable precaution to protect your property; however, we are not liable for:
• Pre-existing defects or blockages beyond our control
• Damage resulting from unavoidable access (e.g., lifting covers, drilling, excavation)
• Redecoration, cleaning, or restoration of surfaces post-access
9.2. Any damage caused by negligence on our part will be rectified or compensated reasonably.
9.3. Where reinstatement is required following access or excavation, we will leave the area level and safe but not necessarily restored to its original finish.
10. Customer Responsibilities
10.1. You must:
• Ensure safe, clear access to the site and drainage systems
• Provide water and electricity supplies where required
• Notify us of any known hazards, asbestos, or restricted access
10.2. If the property is rented, you are responsible for obtaining your landlord’s permission before work begins.
10.3. You are responsible for ensuring all necessary permissions are obtained for listed or protected properties.
11. Cancellations
11.1. You have the right to cancel within 14 days of accepting a quotation (“cooling-off period”).
11.2. If you request work to start within this period and then cancel, you will be charged for work completed and any costs incurred.
11.3. If we cancel without good reason, we will refund any reasonable costs incurred by you.
12. Promotions and Offers
12.1. From time to time, Aqua Force Drainage Services may run promotions or special offers.
12.2. Unless otherwise stated, general Terms & Conditions still apply.
12.3. “No call-out fee” means no charge for travel to your property; all work is subject to an agreed fixed price before commencement.
13. Force Majeure
13.1. We are not liable for delays or failure to perform obligations due to events beyond our control (e.g. extreme weather, accidents, strikes, equipment failure, or third-party delays).
14. Governing Law
14.1. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
14.2. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
